Graduate Engineer Trainee – Entry Level Engineering Role

About the role

This Graduate Engineer Trainee program is designed to build foundational knowledge in a chosen engineering discipline while providing exposure to other functions. Under the guidance of an assigned mentor, you will shadow entry‑level roles, learn safety and technical procedures, and develop the competence to work independently.

Key responsibilities

• Learn and comply with HSE standards, including PTW, TBRA, PHA, TBT and RCA.
• Study and interpret engineering drawings such as P&ID, PFD, isometrics and GA.
• Gain familiarity with plant SOPs, SMPs, BMPs, operating manuals and emergency procedures.
• Develop proficiency in IT systems like SAP, MOC, IM, RCoW and OMPRO.
• Understand core process control tools including DCS, PIB, instrumentation and power distribution systems.
• Assist in project planning, contractor supervision and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 0–2 years of experience or recent graduate (minimum 60% academic score).
• Strong willingness to learn and adapt in a hydrocarbon environment.
• Commitment to safety, ethics and continuous improvement.
