Senior Engineering Manager – Technical & Projects

About the role

ETAP is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager – Technical & Projects to lead complex power system consulting and engineering projects for global clients. The role combines technical leadership across power system studies, electromagnetic transient analysis, and EMI/EMC assessments with project and client management responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute power system studies such as load flow, short‑circuit, motor starting, transient stability, relay coordination, arc‑flash, harmonic and renewable energy analyses.
• Perform electromagnetic transient and EMI/EMC studies using tools like ETAP, PSCAD and CDEGS, and develop engineering recommendations.
• Own project delivery from scope definition through completion, managing resources, schedule, budget and client communications.
• Review technical deliverables, ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE standards, and mentor engineering team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering.
• Significant experience in power system studies and electrical engineering consulting for industrial, utility, oil & gas, renewable or rail sectors.
• Proven ability to lead technically complex projects and interact directly with international clients.
• Experience providing technical leadership or mentoring engineers.

Required skills

• Hands‑on expertise with ETAP, PSCAD and preferably CDEGS.
• Strong knowledge of power system analysis, protection, IEC and IEEE standards.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
