GR-IR Reconciliation Analyst

About the role

IFF, a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences, is hiring an Analyst for its Global Business Services unit in Hyderabad, India. The role focuses on GR-IR account reconciliations and sits in a hybrid arrangement (3 days per week).

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily GR-IR account reconciliations in SAP and Blackline and resolve open items.
• Monitor GR-IR balances, review aged items and work with Procurement, Accounts Payable and Receiving to fix mismatches.
• Prepare reconciliation documentation for audits and support internal and external audits with reports and explanations.
• Analyze trends in reconciliations, run fluctuation analysis and manage process metrics.
• Organize monthly briefings with GPOs, implement policy updates and take part in process improvement.
• Escalate issues, carry out root cause analysis and help implement corrective actions.
• Act as focal point for external financial and statutory filings in line with US GAAP and local accounting principles.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (CA, CMA, CPA, CIMA or ACCA) with a bachelor's degree in commerce.
• 0-2 years of experience in GL reconciliation with strong technical accounting skills.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, proactive and able to handle a heavy workload.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel (including basic macros), Blackline and Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and SAP FICO.
