Team Lead II, Accounting (Record-to-Report)

About the role

IFF, a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences, is hiring a Team Lead II, Accounting for its Food Ingredients business unit in Hyderabad, India (hybrid role). The role oversees the Record-to-Report (RTR) subprocess, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions, compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and management of a medium-sized team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, provisions and adjustments in line with internal controls.
• Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure SOX/internal control compliance and support internal and external audits.
• Manage team workload, KPIs and SLAs, and drive continuous improvement across RTR.
• Collaborate with AP, AR, FP&A, Tax and Treasury teams and build stakeholder relationships.
• Coach and develop team members through training, performance management and career development.

Required profile

• Qualified professional (CA, CPA, CMA, ICWA) or post-graduation in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 4-8 years of finance and accounting experience, with 1-3 years of people management.
• Demonstrated experience with month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, SOX and audit support.

Required skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder collaboration.
• Prioritization, workload management and KPI/SLA monitoring.
• Preferred: strong SAP and RTR process expertise in a shared services environment.

The Food Ingredients business unit is expected to transition to CVC Capital Partners in the first half of 2027, pending regulatory approvals. IFF offers internal training opportunities.
