Global Technical Lead – Liquid Cooling (TCS/SFN)

About the role

We are seeking a Global Technical/Engineering Lead to own the design, development and global alignment of Technical Cooling Systems (TCS) and Secondary Fluid Networks (SFN). The role will lead NPDI projects from concept through launch, establish worldwide design standards, and mentor engineering teams across Westerville, Monterrey, India and China.

Key responsibilities

• Lead TCS/SFN design deliverables through all NPDI stages, ensuring technical robustness and manufacturability.
• Define and maintain global standards and reusable modules such as headers, manifolds, valves, fittings, hoses, expansion tanks, filters and quick disconnects.
• Launch and coordinate a global SFN engineering team, assigning tasks and ensuring alignment across regions.
• Create and manage PTC Creo models, design libraries and assemblies for all components.
• Perform system sizing, flow‑balancing, pressure‑drop, NPSH margin, valve Cv selection and pump/loop analysis.
• Oversee prototype builds, validation test plans and execution (pressure, leak, flow/thermal, cleanliness, condensation).
• Use PLM tools (Oracle PD Cloud, Windchill) to manage BOMs, drawings, engineering changes and documentation.
• Collaborate with global engineering, operations, supply chain and quality to align designs with product roadmaps.
• Drive supplier engagement, define specifications, support RFQs and validate manufacturability.
• Own future configurator and rapid‑layout tools (CPQ‑Creo integration, Revit) to streamline quoting and design.
• Mentor engineers, capture custom‑order learnings and feed them back into NPDI modules.
• Ensure compliance with ASME/ASHRAE standards and internal design guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 12–18 years of experience in piping and fluid systems, preferably in data‑center liquid cooling, HVAC, hydronics or process cooling.
• Direct experience with Technical Cooling Systems (TCS) and/or Secondary Fluid Networks (SFN).

Required skills

• PTC Creo modeling and design library management.
• System sizing, flow‑balancing, pressure‑drop and NPSH margin calculations.
• Valve Cv selection and pump/loop performance analysis.
• Prototype build coordination and validation testing.
• PLM tools – Oracle PD Cloud, Windchill.
• Supplier specification development and RFQ support.
• Configurator tools – CPQ‑Creo integration, Revit.
• Knowledge of ASME and ASHRAE standards for liquid‑cooled piping systems.
