General Manager Human Resources

About the role

As the General Manager of Corporate HR at CGH Earth, you will be the second‑in‑command for the HR function, shaping people strategy for a leading responsible tourism brand in India. Working closely with the Vice President of HR, you will oversee daily HR operations, drive strategic talent initiatives and nurture the company’s sustainability‑focused culture across all properties and corporate teams.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the VP of HR to design and execute a corporate HR strategy aligned with CGH Earth’s ethos.
• Lead and mentor corporate and property‑level HR teams, acting as the department’s second‑in‑command.
• Oversee talent acquisition, succession planning and the annual performance management system.
• Champion culture initiatives, employee engagement programs and training development.
• Supervise HR operations including compensation, benefits, HRIS management and payroll compliance.
• Ensure statutory compliance across all locations and standardise HR processes.
• Advise property managers on employee relations, grievance handling and conflict resolution.
• Lead change‑management projects related to new digital tools and organisational structures.

Required profile

• 12–15 years of progressive HR experience, with 3–5 years in a senior managerial or head role.
• Background in premium hospitality, retail or service‑oriented industries is preferred.
• MBA or postgraduate degree in Human Resources.
• Proven ability to manage distributed teams across corporate and remote property locations.
