Gas Path CAD Engineer

About the role

The Gas Path CAD Engineer will be responsible for creating and maintaining 3D CAD models and 2D drawings of air intake, exhaust and related mounting systems for automotive powertrains. The role supports vehicle‑level packaging, interface integration and ensures design data complies with OEM standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create, update and manage 3D CAD models and assemblies for Gas Path components using CATIA V5/3DEXPERIENCE.
• Develop 2D drawings with correct GD&T, tolerances and automotive drawing standards.
• Perform interference checks, clearance analysis and mass‑properties validation.
• Implement engineering changes (ECR/ECO) from KO to SOP and release CAD data via PLM tools.
• Support DFMEA, design reviews, prototype and vehicle build activities.
• Collaborate with module leads, system engineers, manufacturing teams and suppliers for data exchange and quality checks.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in automotive Gas Path system design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
• Strong understanding of commodity release, change management and BOM structures.
• Ability to lead design reviews and meet timeline commitments.

Required skills

• CATIA V5 and CATIA V6 (2D/3D) proficiency.
• 3DEXPERIENCE platform experience.
• GD&T knowledge.
• TeamCenter or similar PLM tool usage.
• Microsoft SharePoint, Excel and PowerPoint.
