Fullstack Engineer

About the role

We are building Cardboard, a browser‑based video editor backed by a cloud media pipeline and an AI agent that understands footage. As a Fullstack Engineer you will own features from the pixel a user clicks all the way down to the service that renders it, moving fluidly across the stack.

Key responsibilities

• Build and ship features across the whole stack, from the editor UI to backend services.
• Solve hard browser problems such as real‑time editing, smooth playback, and handling large media files on the client.
• Help shape the AI‑driven editing experience that lets the agent make real edits.
• Keep the product fast and reliable, even on demanding, large‑scale projects.
• Tackle challenging technical problems end‑to‑end without hesitation.

Required profile

• You have strong engineering fundamentals and experience owning features end‑to‑end.
• You move comfortably across frontend, backend, and the infrastructure in between.
• You are not scared of complex queries, render workers, or tricky browser state.
• You are obsessed with quality and performance, fixing anything that feels janky.
• You thrive in a fast‑moving environment where you set your own bar.
• Bonus: experience with media/video processing, real‑time or offline‑first systems, or building on top of LLMs.
