Fullstack Developer

About the role

SAS is seeking a Fullstack Developer to join its data and AI team. You will work on modern Java‑based services, help modernise legacy code, and contribute to a culture of innovation and inclusion.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain mid‑tier services and REST APIs using Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Work with large legacy code bases and apply AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude).
• Write unit, regression and integration tests and ensure high code quality.
• Collaborate in fast‑paced Agile teams, participate in sprint planning and code reviews.
• Debug complex issues and optimise database‑centric applications using PostgreSQL and Oracle.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Hibernate.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and SQL.
• Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, SOLID principles, and build tools (Ant, Maven).
• Familiarity with security tools (Snyk, Blackduck) and enterprise security solutions (IVIA/WebSeal, Siteminder, IWA).
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work independently.
