Full Stack Software Engineer (NET, Angular/React)

About the role

Optum, part of UnitedHealth Group, is hiring a Software Engineer in Pune, India. The role covers full-stack development with .NET, Angular/React and Python for AI/ML and automation, and includes building AI-powered solutions with no-code, low-code and advanced platforms. The position also involves mentoring junior engineers and shaping the team's technical approach.

Key responsibilities

• Stay plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends and apply them to operations
• Own large, complex components and influence data architecture and patterns
• Influence team designs and solutions, mentor engineers through code reviews and design sessions, and contribute to code reviews
• Solve complex problems with well-designed APIs, data structures, models and algorithms; choose refactoring opportunities to reduce tech debt
• Add automation to testing, build and deployment, and introduce it to replace manual processes
• Work with internal stakeholders to align on priorities and turn them into a quarterly roadmap
• Build, deploy and maintain AI-powered solutions using no-code, low-code and advanced platforms
• Comply with company policies, including work location, team assignments, schedules and flexible work arrangements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
• 1+ years of experience in software development
• Solid experience developing with C#.NET Core Web API and/or Java, and with Angular and/or React
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases
• DevOps best practices in a cloud-native environment
• Product management basics: prioritization, roadmaps and cross-functional collaboration
• Healthcare knowledge and strong problem-solving skills
