Full Stack Java Engineer

About the role

Redwood Software is seeking a Full Stack Java Engineer to design, develop, and enhance its cloud‑based automation platform. You will build secure, scalable backend services and contribute to modern user interfaces that support over 1,000 enterprise customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop backend services and micro‑services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design, implement and consume RESTful APIs to integrate with customer systems.
• Enhance platform monitoring, logging, and observability.
• Ensure security and compliance for file‑transfer workflows.
• Write clean, maintainable, well‑tested code and collaborate with senior engineers on architectural decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 2–4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Java (core) and Spring Boot.
• RESTful API design and consumption.
• Object‑oriented programming, design patterns, software architecture.
• SQL and relational databases; familiarity with NoSQL.
• React for modern user interfaces.
• Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Automated unit and integration testing frameworks.
• Micro‑services development.
