Full Stack Engineer (Hybrid, Mumbai)

About the role

CACTUS is looking for a Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and maintain high‑performance web applications. The role is hybrid, based in Mumbai, and combines modern frontend and backend development with AI‑augmented coding tools to accelerate delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end‑to‑end web applications using Node.js, PHP/Laravel, Java or Python for the backend.
• Implement user interfaces with React, Angular or Vue and consume RESTful APIs.
• Work with relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases, optimizing queries and data models.
• Leverage AI agents and coding assistants (e.g., Copilot, Cursor) to speed up feature development, improve code quality, and automate repetitive tasks.
• Write clean, secure, well‑tested code; debug complex issues and optimise performance across the stack.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions and technical decision‑making.
• Collaborate with product, design and engineering teams to deliver features from concept to production.
• Use Git for version control and support deployment workflows in cloud environments and containers where applicable.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of hands‑on full‑stack development experience.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities, ownership mindset and clear communication skills.
• Legal authorization to work in India.
