Front Line Manager – Shift Operations

About the role

The Front Line Manager will supervise shift operations of a value stream or sub‑value stream at Bosch’s manufacturing site in Bengaluru. The role focuses on leading shop‑floor associates, ensuring safe and quality‑driven production, and driving continuous improvement to meet operational targets.

Key responsibilities

• Organise production setup according to the schedule and assign tasks to associates.
• Follow standard procedures, BPS and work instructions while adapting activities to achieve SQCD targets for the shift.
• Motivate and mentor shop‑floor staff, including entry‑level associates.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and shop‑floor standards.
• Maintain IR and shop‑floor discipline, manage deviations and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising shift operations in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to manage and motivate shop‑floor teams.
• Familiarity with safety, quality and shop‑floor standards.
• Capability to drive deviation management and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Understanding of SQCD (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery) metrics.
• Knowledge of BPS (Best Practice Standards) and work‑instruction compliance.
