Front Line Engineer – Scale Up

About the role

The Front Line Engineer – Scale Up will support the Scale‑Up department in moving new epoxy resin products from R&D through pilot‑plant trials to commercial production. The role focuses on generating process data, monitoring conditions, and ensuring that product quality meets Indian customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate closely with R&D to scale up new products from laboratory to pilot‑plant and then to commercial scale.
• Generate and analyse all process data for new grades, comparing lab trials with pilot‑plant results.
• Study existing process conditions, identify root causes of issues and prepare action plans, including Management of Change (MOC) and P&ID updates.
• Lead Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies, implement recommendations and ensure safety compliance.
• Prepare and update SOPs, PFDs and technical documentation to stabilise pilot‑plant operations.
• Support the engineering package for new projects, including vendor development for critical equipment.
• Drive cost‑effective technology transfers and continuous improvement of production efficiency.

Required profile

• Degree in Chemical, Process or related engineering discipline.
• Hands‑on experience in scale‑up, pilot‑plant or process development within the chemical/epoxy industry.
• Strong knowledge of unit operations, data interpretation and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with safety studies (MOC, PHA, HAZOP) and ability to work cross‑functionally.
