Freight Broker

About the role

The Freight Broker position is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar. You will be responsible for sourcing freight from shippers, contracting carriers, and negotiating rates that meet market conditions and customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure freight loads from shippers across various modes (FTL, LTL, specialized freight).
• Source, evaluate, and contract suitable carriers, expanding the carrier network.
• Negotiate competitive rates and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Manage load assignments, track shipments in real time, and resolve service issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including ELD, HOS, and safety records.
• Collaborate with internal teams on billing, back‑office processes, and continuous service improvement.

Required profile

• Experience in freight brokerage, dispatch, or transportation logistics.
• Strong ability to manage multiple loads in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective communication, problem‑solving, and customer‑focused attitude.
• High school diploma required; logistics or business education is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with transportation management systems.
• Use of load boards for carrier sourcing.
• Real‑time shipment tracking tools.
• EDI integration for data exchange.
