About the role
We are looking for a results‑driven Freight Broker & Drayage Specialist to oversee end‑to‑end freight operations with a strong focus on port drayage. The role involves owning shipments from booking through delivery, negotiating rates, and proactively resolving issues while maintaining high service standards.
Key responsibilities
- Source and manage carriers for full‑truckload (FTL), less‑than‑truckload (LTL), and drayage shipments.
- Coordinate port pickups, container movements, and last‑mile delivery.
- Negotiate competitive rates with carriers and shippers.
- Track shipments and ensure on‑time delivery across all loads.
- Handle dispatching, load updates, and documentation such as bills of lading (BOL) and proof of delivery (POD).
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with carriers and clients.
- Resolve operational issues including delays, port congestion, and detention.
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA and port regulations.
