Freelance Attorney – Legal Intelligence & Research

About the role

Deccan AI Experts is looking for a freelance attorney to support its AI‑driven legal intelligence initiatives. You will evaluate AI‑generated legal outputs, ensuring they are accurate, complete, and legally sound, and help improve the underlying models.

Key responsibilities

• Create deliverables that address common legal and regulatory scenarios.
• Review and assess AI‑generated legal research, analyses, and memoranda for accuracy, logical reasoning, and consistency.
• Analyze statutes, regulations, case law, contracts, and policy documents to identify risks and errors.
• Provide structured feedback to enhance AI performance in legal research and compliance workflows.
• Support projects involving legal research, contract interpretation, policy review, and regulatory intelligence.
• Review peer‑developed deliverables to maintain quality standards.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD), LL.B., or equivalent legal qualification.
• Active Bar membership or prior qualification to practice law in the United States, India, or another recognized jurisdiction (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience as an attorney, lawyer, legal counsel, or related professional.
• Strong understanding of legal research methodologies, statutory interpretation, case law analysis, and legal reasoning.
• Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast‑paced environment.
