Food Production Faculty

About the role

The International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) is seeking a full‑time Food Production Faculty to join its Shillong campus. You will deliver both theoretical and practical training in culinary arts to hospitality students, ensuring they acquire industry‑ready skills.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct lectures and kitchen practical sessions on food production and culinary techniques.
• Develop lesson plans, training materials, assessments and evaluate student performance.
• Maintain hygiene, sanitation and safety standards in the training kitchen.
• Organise workshops, culinary competitions, industry visits and support student placements.
• Maintain kitchen equipment, inventory and training resources.
• Participate in academic, administrative and quality‑assurance activities.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management from a recognised institution.
• 1–3 years of teaching or industry experience in food production.
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety and kitchen operations.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Residency in Shillong is preferred.
