Food Production Faculty – Culinary Instructor

About the role

The International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) is seeking a full‑time Food Production Faculty (Chef) to join its Siliguri campus. You will deliver both practical and theoretical instruction in culinary arts, guiding hospitality management learners through fundamental and advanced cooking techniques.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct kitchen lab sessions, live demonstrations, and classroom lectures aligned with the institute’s curriculum.
• Design lesson plans, prepare training materials, and assess learner performance.
• Provide constructive feedback to support academic and professional growth.
• Coordinate with other faculty members and support events, workshops, and industry interactions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the food production program.

Required profile

• Professional culinary expertise with experience in hotels, restaurants, or hospitality institutions.
• Demonstrated teaching, training, or mentoring abilities in a culinary or hospitality education setting.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging diverse learner groups.
• Relevant academic background such as a diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or Food Production.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site in Siliguri with a learner‑centric approach.
