Firmware Validation Engineer

About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking a Firmware Validation Engineer to design, develop, and execute a firmware test automation platform for automotive infotainment systems. You will work closely with systems engineering and development teams to ensure safety and quality standards are met across embedded automotive subsystems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and run test cases derived from system requirements using HIL test benches, lab cars, and manual vehicle testing.
• Perform system and integration testing on infotainment, telematics, cameras, sensors, and in‑vehicle networking.
• Set up, configure, and maintain HIL test environments to validate functionality and performance.
• Analyze test failures, conduct root‑cause analysis, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Work with OEM partners to integrate functions and clearly communicate test results, risks, and issues.
• Conduct hands‑on validation on vehicles and prototypes to meet functional and safety requirements.
• Develop and maintain Python‑based test automation scripts to improve efficiency.

Required profile

• Experience validating automotive infotainment systems for Tier‑1 suppliers.
• Familiarity with AUTOSAR, OTA updates, and diagnostic protocols.
• Proven ability to work with HIL test benches and perform both manual and automated testing.
• Strong analytical skills for root‑cause analysis and problem solving.
