Financial Controller

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Financial Controller to lead financial planning, reporting and control functions for our nationwide retail network. The role ensures financial integrity, operational efficiency and profitability across all stores while overseeing month‑end close and audit processes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and MIS reporting for the retail business.
• Prepare timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Monitor profitability, cash flow, working capital and drive cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Strengthen financial controls, governance and ensure statutory compliance.
• Manage internal and external audits, taxation, GST and other regulatory requirements.
• Partner with business leaders on financial performance and strategic decisions.
• Supervise inventory accounting, stock reconciliation and retail financial controls.
• Lead, develop and mentor the finance team to achieve process excellence.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) – mandatory.
• MBA (Finance) or CMA/ICWA – preferred.
• 10–18 years of post‑qualification experience in retail, furniture, consumer durables, FMCG or large‑format retail.
• At least 5 years in a Financial Controller or finance leadership role.
• Proven experience with ERP systems, financial reporting and retail operations.
