Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will ensure accurate, timely and compliant financial accounting and reporting across all legal entities of Alfa Laval. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external auditors, the role supports month‑end close, budgeting, forecasting, tax compliance and internal control processes in line with IFRS and local statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records and produce financial statements in accordance with IFRS and Alfa Laval internal policies.
• Coordinate month‑end close activities, prepare schedules, reconciliations and GL account reports.
• Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts and variance analysis for the assigned business area.
• Review and approve reconciliations performed by Finance Shared Services, addressing unreconciled items.
• Process accruals, provisions and lease accounting entries, ensuring correct application of IFRS 16.
• Support external statutory audits, liaising with EY and providing required documentation.
• Ensure tax compliance and monitor internal controls to safeguard data integrity.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, including IFRS 16 lease accounting.
• Experience in month‑end close, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and external auditors.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality financial data.
