Financial Controller – Hospitality

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and analytically‑mindful Financial Controller to join our hotel within the Accor network in Chennai. In this senior leadership position you will partner with senior management and cross‑functional teams to drive financial excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and influence strategic decisions across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and statutory compliance activities in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and local regulations.
• Provide accurate, timely financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision‑making by senior leadership.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and cash management functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage and optimise financial processes and internal controls, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
• Support capital expenditure planning, investment initiatives and financial feasibility assessments for projects.
• Prepare and present financial statements, variance analyses and performance metrics to stakeholders with clarity.
• Collaborate with department heads to develop realistic budgets and monitor performance against targets.
• Ensure compliance with GST, income tax and other statutory obligations specific to Indian operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 5 + years of experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance management role, preferably within complex or multi‑unit operations.
• Strong expertise in Indian accounting standards (Ind AS), GST compliance and Indian tax regulations.
