Finance Manager – Tax & Accounting

About the role

Renesas is seeking a Finance Manager to lead Accounting, Tax, Audit and Treasury functions for its Indian legal entity. The role combines strategic partnership with senior management and hands‑on oversight of finance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enforce finance governance, rules and policies.
• Prepare, consolidate and submit budgets to corporate headquarters.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as Companies Act 2013, Income Tax Act and GST; support statutory, internal and tax audits.
• Oversee vendor payments, contracts, petty cash, banking activities and fund utilization.
• Drive month‑end and year‑end close processes and provide financial data for external consultants.
• Coordinate board meetings, AGMs and other corporate compliance activities.
• Manage fixed‑asset verification and drive system/process improvements.
• Supervise a team of up to five accounting staff, both regular and outsourced.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or an MBA.
• Professional finance certifications (e.g., CA, CPA) are a plus.
• Proven experience in finance governance, budgeting, statutory compliance and team leadership.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Companies Act 2013, Income Tax Act and GST regulations.
