Finance Controller – Restaurant Business

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller to lead the finance and accounting function of our multi‑outlet restaurant operation. The role combines financial reporting, profitability analysis, budgeting, cash‑flow management and statutory compliance to support strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing, preparing P&L, balance sheet, cash‑flow and MIS reports.
• Produce outlet‑wise revenue, profitability and cost analyses and comment on budget versus actual variances.
• Monitor daily sales, POS reconciliations, online delivery settlements and identify revenue leakages.
• Control food, beverage and overall COGS, track inventory movements, wastage and stock variances.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, including cash‑flow forecasts and working‑capital planning.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, vendor invoice review and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI and other statutory requirements and coordinate audits.
• Develop and enforce finance SOPs and internal control procedures across all outlets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance roles within restaurants, QSR, cafés, hospitality or other multi‑outlet businesses.
• Strong understanding of restaurant economics, operational finance and cost structures.
• Ability to analyse data, provide insights and influence senior management decisions.
