Finance Controller – Plant Operations (Ahmedabad)

About the role

The Plant Finance Controller will oversee all day‑to‑day financial activities at the manufacturing plant in Ahmedabad. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, cost control, and support budgeting and audit processes while collaborating closely with production, purchasing and store teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly Plant P&L, cost reports and variance analysis.
• Support the factory month‑end closing process, ensuring proper accounting of expenses and provisions.
• Monitor production costs, material consumption and Cost of Goods Manufactured (COGM) reporting.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores and Plant teams for cost validation and provision entries.
• Assist in preparing monthly Balance Sheet schedules related to plant operations.
• Support budgeting, cost estimation and track cost‑saving initiatives.
• Provide required plant‑level data for internal and statutory audits.
• Monitor plant‑related accounts payable and receivable, and support inventory reconciliation.
• Participate in plant review meetings, delivering financial insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Professional certification such as CPA, CMA or CA.
• 10+ years of experience in finance management, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability in financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting.
