Finance Controller

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller to lead the finance and accounts function for a fast‑growing organization in Bengaluru. The role demands a strategic thinker with strong financial discipline, regulatory expertise and the ability to support business growth through robust governance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with Ind AS/IGAAP.
• Design, implement and monitor internal financial controls across the organization.
• Manage the month‑end closing process, including reconciliations, accruals and variance analysis.
• Present financial performance reports, MIS and dashboards to senior management and the board.
• Ensure compliance with Income Tax, GST, TDS, RBI/NBFC regulations, Companies Act and other statutory requirements.
• Liaise with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax consultants and regulatory authorities.
• Oversee daily cash flow, fund positions, banking relationships and credit facilities.
• Manage gold inventory valuation, hedging strategies and price risk (where applicable).
• Lead the annual budgeting process, periodic forecasting and cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Coordinate statutory, internal and tax audits and implement risk mitigation controls.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance and accounts team, setting performance goals and building capability.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) – mandatory.
• Minimum 8+ years of post‑qualification experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or controllership role.
• Prior experience in gold loan companies, NBFCs, bullion trading, jewellery or related financial services.
