Finance Controller

About the role

The Finance Controller will lead all financial activities for a group company within Ingersort Rand's India operations. Reporting to the Finance Controller, CSS India, the role oversees accounting, reporting, planning and statutory compliance across multiple legal entities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Accounting/Finance team, including payroll, cost analysis and reporting.
• Manage the external audit process and prepare annual statutory financial statements.
• Drive the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process and quarterly forecasting.
• Partner with managing directors and business heads on financial matters.
• Maintain balance‑sheet integrity, perform reconciliations and ensure robust internal controls.
• Oversee ledger management in the accounting system, adhering to Indian GAAP and US GAAP.
• Ensure payroll accounting compliance and establish monthly closing processes.
• Consolidate and report P&L for the India business.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant qualification.
• 12‑15 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, pharma, automotive or heavy industrial equipment sectors.
• 3‑4 years in a leadership role covering finance controllership, FP&A and management reporting.
• Proven ability to manage statutory reporting and audit processes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Oracle or SAP financial systems.
• Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP and US GAAP accounting standards.
