Finance Controller

About the role

Nava is building next‑generation AI infrastructure and cloud platforms. As the company expands globally, it seeks a Finance Controller to lead financial processes, ensure compliance, and partner with senior leadership on strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly and annual close across multiple entities, preparing financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls, overseeing general ledger, reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals and statutory reporting.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and financial planning, delivering MIS, board reports and dashboards.
• Ensure compliance with Indian tax regulations (GST, TDS, Companies Act) and international requirements, managing statutory, internal and tax audits.
• Coordinate global finance operations, including inter‑company accounting, transfer pricing and multi‑currency transactions.
• Support fundraising, investor due diligence, M&A activities and the preparation of financial data rooms.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, building scalable processes and governance frameworks.

Required profile

• CA qualification (mandatory).
• 8–12 years of experience, preferably with a mix of Big 4 and high‑growth startup exposure.
• Strong expertise in financial controllership, accounting, taxation and statutory compliance.
• Experience managing multi‑entity, cross‑border finance operations and supporting fundraising or M&A.
