Finance Analyst – FP&A and SaaS Metrics

About the role

Resonate Solutions is building a two‑person Finance team in Kochi and needs a Finance Analyst to own FP&A, management reporting, and SaaS metrics. This role combines strategic financial analysis with hands‑on accounting coverage, giving you visibility with the CEO and Board from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Validate monthly MRR movements in Planhat, ensure invoices are issued, and highlight trends to leadership.
• Manage the monthly close calendar, produce P&L analysis and management reports.
• Run budget‑vs‑actual analysis across departments and draft variance commentary for the CEO.
• Conduct deep‑dive cost analyses, identify savings, and flag material cost changes.
• Build and maintain Excel models for rolling forecasts, scenario analysis, and KPI tracking.
• Own sales commission and CSM bonus models, generate monthly payout reports.
• Maintain quarterly Rocks tracker and strategic planning sheets.
• Reconcile data across Xero, Planhat, EH, and commission models to ensure consistency.
• Provide People & Culture data analysis on headcount, leave trends, and contractor spend.
• Support Board pack preparation and respond to ad‑hoc financial requests.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with experience in FP&A or financial analysis.
• Ability to work independently and step into full accounting duties when needed.
• Excellent communication skills to translate data into clear insights for senior leaders.
• Detail‑oriented and comfortable handling multiple financial systems.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for financial modelling.
• Experience with Xero accounting software.
• Familiarity with Planhat or similar SaaS metrics platforms.
