Field Executive Trainee – Chemistry

About the role

The Field Executive Trainee – Chemistry will join a chemical plant operation to learn safe equipment handling, hazard management and plant processes. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on exposure to field equipment, sample collection and safety permit procedures while supporting senior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control field equipment using SOPs, SOCs, LLF checklists and on‑demand reading instruments.
• Perform condition monitoring with portable instruments, conduct minor troubleshooting and routine maintenance.
• Collect field samples for laboratory testing and maintain accurate logs and records.
• Identify safety improvements, handle hazardous materials, and act as first responder during emergencies.
• Collaborate with shift superintendents, field executives, contractors and safety engineers to ensure smooth operations.
• Sign off on work permits after verifying hazard‑free conditions and coordinate with safety in‑charge.
• Continuously suggest process and safety enhancements and stay updated on TQM, EFQM, QCC and 5S methodologies.

Required profile

• Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline or BSc/MSc in Chemistry.
• 0–2 years of experience or recent graduate.
• Willingness to learn safe plant operations, hazard management and permit systems.
