Field Engineer – Electrical Distribution (Jodhpur)

About the role

AECOM is seeking a detail‑oriented Field Engineer to manage electrical distribution projects at our RRDS site in Jodhpur, India. You will oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and schedule commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate installation, maintenance, and upgrades of electrical distribution systems on‑site.
• Conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with drawings, Indian electrical codes, and safety protocols.
• Analyze field conditions, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions for optimal system performance.
• Prepare and maintain detailed site reports, inspection logs, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure efficient execution and timely completion.
• Interpret and verify technical drawings, specifications, and design documents for feasibility.
• Monitor equipment installation, testing, and commissioning procedures.
• Identify risks and enforce corrective measures to maintain safety and quality standards.
• Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions to senior management and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electrical distribution systems, power networks, or related infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of Indian electrical safety regulations and codes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Experience in site supervision, project coordination, and field management.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
