About the role

JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) is seeking qualified academics to join the School of Commerce in Bengaluru. The university offers Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor positions across a wide range of commerce and finance specialisations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, tutorials and seminars in the assigned specialisation.
• Design, update and assess curricula, course materials and examination papers.
• Conduct and publish research in reputable journals, and secure research funding where possible.
• Mentor and supervise student projects, dissertations and internships.
• Engage with industry partners for guest lectures, consultancy and collaborative projects.
• Participate in departmental meetings, accreditation activities and university committees.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in the relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Banking, etc.) and a Master’s degree as per UGC/University norms.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the university level or equivalent industry experience.
• Evidence of scholarly research, publications or professional practice in the chosen area of specialisation.
• Ability to contribute to the academic and administrative functions of the School of Commerce.
