Factory/Plant Controller – CP&O

About the role

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Factory/Plant Controller to provide financial planning and controlling expertise for its manufacturing operations. You will analyse performance, support budgeting, and deliver insights that drive financial improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business performance versus budget and forecast, and benchmark KPIs against peers.
• Partner with local controllers to identify performance drivers, trends and value‑added insights.
• Prepare "what‑if" and sensitivity analyses, assess overhead absorption, and evaluate product and customer profitability.
• Track CAPEX budget vs. actual, monitor inventory, net working capital and cash flow.
• Support month‑end closing, perform P&L and balance‑sheet reviews, and ensure internal‑control and SOX compliance.
• Produce MIS reports, compare data to benchmarks and present findings to management.
• Handle ad‑hoc assignments and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field; CMA, CA or MBA preferred.
• Up to 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and presentation skills in English.

Required skills

• SAP FICO (including CO‑PA)
• Knowledge of SAP SD, PP, MM and PS modules
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
