Factory Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, result‑oriented Factory Manager to lead day‑to‑day manufacturing operations at SRL’s production facility in Turbhe, Navi Mumbai. The role oversees production planning, resource management, plant operations, quality and safety compliance, equipment performance, inventory control, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and monitor production activities to meet targets while ensuring quality, safety and delivery timelines.
• Oversee daily factory operations, optimizing the use of manpower, machinery, materials and other resources.
• Lead, mentor and develop production teams, fostering accountability and operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, EHS, quality standards, regulatory guidelines and company policies.
• Coordinate production plans based on business needs, capacity, material availability and delivery schedules.
• Monitor equipment performance, work with maintenance to minimise breakdowns and downtime.
• Manage raw material, packaging, WIP and finished‑goods inventories effectively.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve productivity, reduce costs and minimise waste.
• Collaborate with Quality, R&D, Stores, Purchase, Maintenance, Supply Chain, EHS and other functions for seamless operations.
• Track production KPIs, analyse performance gaps and drive corrective actions.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Management or a related field.
• 20+ years of experience in manufacturing/plant operations, preferably in chemical, pharmaceutical or specialty chemicals.
• Proven track record in factory management, production planning and plant operations.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, EHS, quality systems and regulatory compliance.
• Experience leading large production teams.
