Maintenance Engineer – Medical Device/Pharma

About the role

EffecMed Private Limited is seeking a Maintenance Engineer with experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical sector to support its new ISO‑cleanroom manufacturing facility in Rabale, Navi Mumbai. The role focuses on maintaining plant utilities, facility equipment and MEP systems to ensure reliable, compliant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, ELV, ETP, DG sets, LT panels, compressors and other plant utilities.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and instrumentation issues to minimise downtime and improve energy efficiency.
• Maintain records of maintenance, calibration and validation in line with audit and compliance requirements.
• Participate in equipment commissioning, qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) and validation activities.
• Coordinate with production and quality teams to plan maintenance schedules with minimal disruption.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory, equipment documentation and vendor technical services.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or HVAC engineering with 1.5–2 years of experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
• Familiarity with cleanroom ISO standards, cGMP and EHS regulations.
• Hands‑on experience with MEP, HVAC, ELV, instrumentation, automation and plant utility equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, strong attention to detail and proactive problem‑solving.
