Fabrication Manager – Production Welding & Fabrication

About the role

The Fabrication Manager will lead production welding and metal fabrication activities for a manufacturing unit in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The role combines hands‑on welding, fixture design, and quality oversight to ensure precise, standards‑compliant output.

Key responsibilities

• Weld metal components with high accuracy following engineering drawings and welding symbols.
• Prepare, cut, grind, and clean materials in line with ASME standards, including passivation and pickling.
• Execute all phases of fabrication, from material preparation to final assembly.
• Provide feedback on assembly order, design, materials, and tooling to improve the fabrication process.
• Conceptualize, design, and build custom fixtures, jigs, and tooling.
• Maintain proper documentation and adhere to standardized work procedures.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in welding and metal fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, welding diagrams, and symbols.
• Understanding of fabrication processes and ASME standards.
• Relevant certification – Diploma, Degree, ITI, or industry‑specific welding courses.
