Executive Housekeeper

About the role

The Executive Housekeeper leads all housekeeping operations at Grand Continent Hotels’ Mambalam property, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation and guest comfort. This full‑time, on‑site position oversees a team of housekeeping staff and works closely with front‑office and maintenance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule and assign work to housekeeping personnel.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas to maintain quality standards.
• Coordinate with front office and maintenance for seamless service delivery.
• Manage cleaning supplies, equipment and linen inventory.
• Implement and monitor hygiene and safety protocols.
• Control budgets, monitor costs and liaise with vendors.
• Train, develop and motivate the housekeeping team.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and feedback.
• Drive continuous improvement in service quality and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven leadership and team‑management experience in housekeeping or hospitality.
• Demonstrated ability to uphold high cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Strong organisational and time‑management capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning products, equipment handling and safety regulations.
• Experience with budgeting, cost control and vendor coordination (advantageous).
• Prior experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality sector.
• Diploma or degree in Hotel Management or equivalent work experience.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
