Executive Fire Safety and Security Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Executive Fire Safety and Security Manager to lead the development and execution of fire safety, security and emergency management programs for a commercial/IT environment. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on coordination of safety systems, personnel and compliance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain fire safety policies, procedures and emergency response plans.
• Conduct regular fire risk assessments, safety audits and oversee fire suppression, alarm and emergency lighting systems.
• Design and implement comprehensive security programs, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection and visitor management.
• Manage security personnel – hiring, training, scheduling and performance evaluation.
• Lead crisis management during fire or security incidents and coordinate with building management, tenants and external agencies.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA, IFC and local fire codes, as well as security regulations and insurance requirements.
• Maintain relationships with local fire departments, law‑enforcement agencies and emergency responders.
• Develop and deliver safety and security training, maintain documentation and prepare reports for senior management and regulators.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Science, Security Management, Emergency Management or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CFPS, PSP or CPP preferred; current CPR/First Aid certification.
• 5+ years of experience in fire safety and/or security management, preferably in commercial or IT facilities.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA, IFC and local fire codes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with fire safety management software.
• Proficiency with security management software (CCTV, access control, intrusion detection).
• Understanding of IT infrastructure security requirements and data‑center operations.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and vulnerability analyses.
