Executive Communications Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an Executive Communications professional to lead and enhance the storytelling and visibility of our work on labour, migration and livelihoods. The role combines strategic planning with hands‑on creation of written and visual content for internal and external audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Write and edit high‑quality articles, reports, case studies, newsletters, blogs and impact stories that translate complex field realities into accessible narratives.
• Produce internal communications such as notes, announcements and institutional updates.
• Develop presentations, posters, social‑media graphics and other collateral using online design tools.
• Create and manage engaging content for social media platforms and the organization’s website to strengthen overall visibility.
• Support publishing and dissemination of knowledge products across multiple channels, ensuring consistent branding and thought‑leadership positioning.
• Assist HR and recruitment teams with communication outreach and talent‑attraction messaging.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in communications, journalism or related fields.
• Strong writing and storytelling ability with a keen interest in rights‑based work.
• Understanding of themes such as labour, migration, informality, women’s work, livelihoods and climate vulnerability.
• Ability to work both strategically and hands‑on in a fast‑moving environment.

Required skills

• Experience with social‑media management and digital publishing.
