Estimator and Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Estimator and Quantity Surveyor will join Surendra Precast Group’s Kolkata office to produce accurate cost estimates and quantity take‑offs for precast and civil construction projects. Working on‑site, you will support the bidding process, budget preparation and cost control throughout project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Review architectural, structural and MEP drawings and specifications to prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Conduct site measurements and assess material, labour and equipment requirements.
• Prepare cost estimates, analyse market rates and support tender documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers and procurement to align estimates with design intent and schedule.
• Monitor cost variations, update project budgets and assist in negotiating rates with vendors and subcontractors.
• Maintain estimation records and provide cost‑control reports during execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor in precast or civil construction.
• Ability to work on‑site in the Greater Kolkata Area and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel for cost calculations and data analysis.
• Ability to use AutoCAD for drawing review and quantity extraction.
• Familiarity with construction estimation software and BOQ preparation.
