Erection Engineer – PEB (Construction)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Erection Engineer to lead the structural erection of pre‑engineered building (PEB) frames across active project sites in Pune and surrounding districts. The role is hands‑on and site‑first, responsible for planning lift sequences, supervising crane and labour crews, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the erection of PEB structural elements such as columns, rafters, purlins, girts, bracing and sheeting.
• Study erection drawings, general arrangement plans and anchor‑bolt layouts before mobilisation.
• Plan and supervise crane lifts, select appropriate tackle, and implement temporary bracing sequences.
• Verify anchor‑bolt setting, foundation levels and grout compliance prior to column placement.
• Conduct dimensional checks (plumb, camber, span, eave height) for each structural bay.
• Manage erection labour productivity, shift allocation and daily progress tracking.
• Enforce site safety procedures including PPE, work‑at‑height, toolbox talks and PTW system.
• Prepare daily progress reports, erection checklists and quality‑control inspection records.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of hands‑on experience in PEB structural erection, preferably on industrial or warehouse projects.
• B.E. or Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Willingness to travel and stay at project sites across Maharashtra.

Required skills

• Crane operation and rigging, including sling capacities and lift planning.
• Ability to read and interpret PEB erection drawings, bolt schedules and GA drawings.
• Knowledge of Indian Standards IS 800 (Design of Steel Structures) and IS 875 (Loads).
• Experience managing erection gangs of 15–40 personnel.
