Entry-Level Indirect Procurement Buyer – Machines & Tools

About the role

Visteon is seeking an entry‑level Indirect Procurement Buyer to support the acquisition of production equipment and indirect services for its automotive electronics operations across the Americas. The role focuses on cost‑effective sourcing, supplier management, and alignment with regional business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Execute purchase orders and manage order schedules with minimal errors.
• Support supplier selection, evaluation, and performance monitoring.
• Conduct basic cost analysis and identify cost‑reduction opportunities.
• Maintain a structured supplier database and track performance metrics (quality, cost, delivery).
• Develop and maintain procurement KPI reports and dashboards.
• Identify and escalate supply risks that could impact operations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between local procurement activities and regional strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Software Engineering or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or manufacturing operations (internships or entry‑level roles accepted).
• Basic knowledge of procurement and supply‑chain principles.
• Exposure to automotive, electronics, or industrial manufacturing environments is a plus.
• Strong results orientation, critical thinking, resilience, competitive drive, ownership, and teamwork.
