Dry Blending Operator

About the role

The Dry Blending Operator is responsible for accurately weighing, blending, and managing raw materials to support uninterrupted polymer production. The role ensures product quality, inventory accuracy, and compliance with safety and 5S standards while working closely with production, quality, and warehouse teams.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and weigh raw materials, additives, colorants, and fillers according to approved formulations.
• Prepare, verify, and release blends to production, ensuring timely availability.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform SAP transactions for receipt, issue, and adjustments.
• Conduct periodic physical inventory checks and report discrepancies.
• Ensure proper labeling, traceability, and batch documentation for all blended materials.
• Coordinate material flow with Production, Quality, and Warehouse teams to prevent downtime.
• Follow SOPs to avoid mix‑ups, contamination, and weighing errors.
• Report equipment, material, or process abnormalities to the Production Supervisor.

Required profile

• Diploma in Plastics/Polymer Technology or Electrical Engineering (minimum 70% academic score).
• Freshers accepted; experienced candidates need at least 2 years in polymer compounding, plastics processing, or extrusion.
• Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work rotating shifts.
• Good communication, teamwork, and commitment to quality, safety, and 5S.
• Willingness to learn and continuously improve technical and operational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP for inventory transactions.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Experience in raw material weighing and blending operations.
• Understanding of polymer compounding and extrusion processes.
• Familiarity with inventory management and 5S workplace standards.
