About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Web Application Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable web solutions using Next.js and TypeScript. The role involves working with both relational and NoSQL databases and collaborating with backend micro‑services teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy responsive web applications with Next.js, React.js and TypeScript.
• Architect data models and write complex queries for PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate third‑party services.
• Collaborate with Python and C# micro‑service teams for troubleshooting and occasional code contributions.
• Assist in containerizing applications and deploying them on OpenShift (or Kubernetes/Docker) ensuring CI/CD pipelines run smoothly.
• Maintain code quality through unit tests, documentation, and peer reviews.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks and implement optimisations for speed and scalability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in web application development.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced engineering environment.
• Commitment to code quality, security and best practices.

Required skills

• Next.js, React.js, server‑side rendering and static site generation.
• TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• PostgreSQL and MongoDB database design and query optimisation.
• HTML5, CSS3 and responsive design.
• Basic knowledge of Python and C# for interacting with backend services.
• Experience with container platforms such as OpenShift, Kubernetes or Docker.
