Engineer - Layout

About the role

The Layout Engineer will analyse technical requirements and develop optimal mechanical solutions for customers. The role involves designing components, creating detailed 2‑D drawings and ensuring designs meet safety, manufacturability and sustainability criteria. Collaboration with stakeholders and continuous reporting are essential parts of the job.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse technical requirements and identify possible solutions.
• Select optimal products or solutions that meet customer needs.
• Design solutions and components according to specific customer requirements.
• Create detailed Mechanical 2D AutoCAD drawings and engineering structures.
• Consider safety, codes, standards, installability, maintainability, manufacturability and sustainability in designs.
• Report progress, self‑check work and communicate any deviations from specifications.

Required profile

• Strong Mechanical Engineering background.
• Proficiency in Mechanical 2D AutoCAD.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of any European language is an advantage.
• Commitment to diversity in recruitment.
