Embedded Software Engineer – EPT2

About the role

We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer (EPT2) to join Bosch’s Global Software Technologies team in Bangalore. You will work closely with German customers to translate requirements into robust embedded software solutions for automotive and industrial applications.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse software requirements from customers in Germany.
• Define technical specifications and work packages in collaboration with partners.
• Design, develop and validate embedded software architectures and drivers.
• Perform board bring‑up, driver development (SPI, I2C, DMA, ADC, UART) and platform integration.
• Conduct unit, integration and system testing following agile methodologies.

Required profile

• BE/B.Tech/M.Tech in Electrical & Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 4‑6 years of professional experience in embedded software development.
• Strong communication skills and ability to mentor junior team members.

Required skills

• Embedded C and C++ (advanced C++ design patterns, templates).
• Device driver development for microcontrollers such as STM32, GigaDevice, TI or TLE.
• Experience with communication interfaces: SPI, I2C, DMA, ADC, UART.
• Software architecture using UML.
• Agile development, unit/integration/system testing.
• Version control (Git, SVN) and build systems (CMake).
• RTOS experience (FreeRTOS, SafeRTOS, µC/OS) and Docker containerisation.
• Python scripting for test automation.
• Knowledge of Battery Management Systems, charger management, Li‑Ion battery packs and BLDC motor control.
• Connectivity protocols such as Wi‑Fi and BLE.
