Elementary Teacher (SEN) – Inclusive Classroom

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated elementary teacher with a focus on Special Educational Needs (SEN) to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment for young learners. The successful candidate will plan and deliver age‑appropriate lessons, foster positive behaviour, and collaborate with staff and families to ensure every child thrives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom that meets diverse learning needs.
• Use varied teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles.
• Assess, record and report student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback.
• Develop classroom routines that promote respect and responsibility.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff and leadership to enhance educational outcomes.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, parent‑teacher conferences and school events.
• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers.
• Identify and support students with special educational needs or learning difficulties.
• Integrate technology and digital tools to enrich learning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification or licensure for the relevant jurisdiction.
• Experience teaching elementary‑aged children (1–3+ years preferred).
• Familiarity with curriculum standards and assessment practices.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
