Electrician and Plumber (Full-time)

About the role

This full-time, on-site position involves installing, maintaining and repairing electrical and plumbing systems for the Spastic Society of Gurgaon’s facilities in Delhi.

Key responsibilities

• Install, inspect and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, distribution boards and related equipment.
• Install, maintain and repair water supply, sanitation and drainage plumbing systems.
• Perform routine inspections, troubleshoot faults and respond to breakdowns.
• Ensure all work complies with local safety codes and building regulations.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and document all activities.
• Coordinate work schedules with facility staff to minimise disruption.
• Support facility upgrades and recommend improvements to electrical and plumbing infrastructure.

Required profile

• Strong practical knowledge of electricity, circuits and safe handling of wiring.
• Proficiency in plumbing installation, maintenance and repair of water supply and drainage systems.
• Relevant technical certification or ITI/diploma in electrical or plumbing trades.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and equipment manuals.
• Familiarity with Indian safety codes, building standards and use of appropriate PPE.
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks, lift, climb and work in confined spaces.
• Prior experience in facility management, healthcare, educational or NGO settings is an advantage.
