Electrician – 132kV Substation (Semi‑Skilled)

About the role

We are looking for a semi‑skilled Electrician to support the operation and maintenance of a 132 kV substation and associated plant in Newari, Madhya Pradesh. The role involves assisting with equipment erection, electrical repairs and general maintenance under the supervision of the Site In‑Charge.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in transformer, overhead line and equipment erection and related electrical works.
• Inspect, maintain, repair, clean, install or relocate panels and relays as required.
• Support fire‑fighting systems (HVWS), DG sets and overhead conductor systems.
• Perform erection and stringing work for substations and transmission lines under supervision.
• Climb conductors and substation structures to make jumper connections, replace clamps and carry out minor isolator/insulator repairs.
• Load and unload electrical equipment such as CTs, bushings and switchyard materials.
• Maintain substation yards, trenches, drains, pits and fire‑fighting systems in operational condition.
• Carry out grass cleaning, leakage repair, excavation and backfilling work as needed.
• Assist with horticulture and landscaping activities on the substation premises.
• Execute any other duties assigned by the Site In‑Charge to ensure smooth O&M operations.

Required profile

• ITI or equivalent vocational training in Electrical or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in substation or transmission line work.
• Semi‑skilled technician level, physically fit and able to work at heights.
• Team‑oriented, reliable and disciplined in field operations.
